BRC Global Standard for Storage and Distribution Issue 2 – Understanding the Requirements
This two-day training course gives manufacturers, new auditors and Approved Training Providers (ATPs) an understanding of the Standard in terms of the protocol and requirements, including audit planning and events during and after the audit.At the end of the course you will be assessed by an exam.
The course is aimed at:
- Staff implementing or auditing against the BRC Global Standard for Storage and Distribution Issue 2
- Hauliers
- Agents and brokers
At the end of the course you will:
- Be able to explain how the Standard is used to audit storage and distribution businesses
- Be able to describe the three product groups, and the risks and characteristics of each
- Know how to plan an audit program that includes head office and multi-site operations
- Be able to explain how some common requirements (for example HACCP) are applied in storage and distribution businesses
- Be able to describe the requirements of storage and distribution components:
- Vehicles operating standards
- Facility management
- Good operating practices
- Know the requirements of wholesale and contracted services modules
- Know how to complete the BRC audit report
- Understand the benefits of the BRC Directory and how to access it
